CLIK Gallery is an independent gallery based in Grenoble, founded in 2023 by Franco-British photojournalist Suzanne Porter. Specialising in contemporary photography, the gallery presents artists who question our perception of the world and invite us to see it differently.

The gallery brings together emerging and established photographers, both local and international, through a programme that highlights distinctive artistic approaches, where each work offers another way of understanding, and interpreting reality.

For Art Up, CLIK Gallery presents six photographers with distinct approaches.

What unites them is neither a genre, an aesthetic, nor a technique, but a shared attention to the world. Each artist challenges the way we look: by revealing what is overlooked, exploring inner landscapes, questioning the very act of seeing, distilling the world down to its essence, unveiling the connections between places, or reinventing the photographic image itself.

Photography here is not simply a recording of reality. It becomes a language, an experience, an invitation to shift our perspective.

Guillaume Lahure
Guillaume finds the extraordinary in places that were once ordinary, now forgotten or simply left behind. His approach is first and foremost documentary: an abandoned building beneath the snow, a façade, rocks in a river. Then comes the reflection on time and disappearance, between melting snow and structures slowly collapsing. His gaze transforms these traces of reality into images suspended between memory and erasure.

Claudia Masciave
Claudia perceives the world through a sensibility that is uniquely her own — and it is precisely from this singular perspective that her photography emerges. Raised in the Amazon and later uprooted, Claudia experienced years of searching before finding her place in France. She uses the camera to make sense of existence itself. She transforms herself to embody the questions that haunt us all. Her images are both joyful and unsettling: a journey from chaos towards a form of grace.

Melodie
Melodie sees the world differently, in the most literal sense. Her visual impairment is not a limitation to her photography: it is its starting point. Her work challenges the very idea of what it means to see, revealing that sight and vision are not the same thing. Through her images, she invites us to experience photography beyond the act of looking.

Henri Montesinos
Henri reduces reality to its essence. His minimalist compositions transform everyday buildings and landscapes into studies of lines, forms, and balance. He adds nothing to reality: he subtracts, until the discreet geometry hidden within it emerges.

Suzanne Porter
Suzanne uses photography as a tool for encounter, allowing people and places to reveal their own stories. She approaches each subject with curiosity, creating images shaped by dialogue and immersion. Her work reveals the connections between territories, memories, and human experiences, inviting us to look at the places we inhabit through the stories they carry.

John Quintero
John photographs in colour, prints his images in black and white, then restores the colour by hand using pigments and inks, making each print a unique work. His series pays tribute to the Suri people. Photography becomes an act of reconstruction, where each image carries the trace of the artist’s hand.
