France/UK

Suzanne Porter is a Franco-British photographer specialising in humanitarian and social documentary. After a degree in Social Studies, a serious boating accident damaged her spine. It was during rehabilitation that she first picked up a camera.

Her images from Zimbabwe during the 2000 land invasions became her first exhibition. Described as a “shooting star” by the British Journal of Photography, she went on to work for CARE International, WaterAid, and Médecins sans Frontières. Six years documenting the Tuareg people culminated in “Secrets of the Sahara” at the British Museum, and her portraits were selected by Jacques Garcia to hang permanently at La Mamounia in Marrakech.

Based in Grenoble, she opened CLIK Gallery in 2023, a space dedicated to photography. so far in 2026, her work was exhibited at BMW/MINI Pautric Grenoble and at Galerie Art-z during Les Rencontres d’Arles.
