Based in Bandol, on the Mediterranean coast in the south of France, Shun Gallery opened with the ambition of creating a dialogue between modern art and contemporary creation.
The gallery’s artistic vision is built around a simple idea: bringing together major post-war artists and contemporary painters whose work reflects a strong and distinctive artistic language. This approach allows different generations of artists to interact, highlighting shared concerns around gesture, material and pictorial energy.
Artists regularly presented by the gallery include Bernard Buffet, Hans Hartung, Claude Venard, Jean Miotte, César Baldaccini, Antoniucci Volti and Robert Combas, whose works illustrate the richness of post-war European art.
The gallery also supports contemporary artists, including Thai painter Somsak Hanumas, whose work stands out for its vibrant colour and expressive structure.
Through exhibitions and participation in art fairs in France and internationally, Shun Gallery aims to offer collectors a lively and thoughtful perspective on modern and contemporary art.
