artist/ Woizo

France

Woizo is an artist who lives and works in Toulouse.
Alongside his studies in graphic design and illustration, he developed his skills in graffiti, a free and spontaneous form of expression that opened up a whole new creative field. This practice was to prove decisive in his career, and never ceased to fuel his artistic process. Gradually, and following numerous trips abroad, his world and his influences were to evolve in depth. His long stay in Africa was a particularly memorable experience, and had a major impact on his imagination and his use of colour, from which he drew his inspiration.

Other major influences, such as the work of Paul Klee, the Symbolist movement and the compositions of Brauner, also fed into his artistic work. This intermingling of cultures and genres gave rise to a very personal mythology.
But what particularly defines Woizo’s artistic work is his ability to handle shapes and colours in a unique way. He blends these elements with exceptional mastery, creating works that are a celebration of vitality, transformation and evolution.
His colour palette is also the result of a syncretism of his different inspirations. They play a very important role in his creations and are for him,
the medium of emotions. They breathe a powerful aura into his works and inject them with an introspective atmosphere.
Today, Woizo is a muralist who thrives on confronting space and time.
space and time. He ensures that his site-specific works echo their
environment. A dialogue between architecture and territory that he masters with talent.
