Jean Leppien was a painter born in 1902 in Germany and who died in 1991 in France.
Trained at the Bauhaus, he turned to geometric abstraction and constructivism.
A member of the Resistance during the Second World War, he was arrested and interned in several camps.
After 1945, he settled in France and became a recognised figure in lyrical and geometric abstraction.
