Roger Desserprit (1923–1985) was a French painter and sculptor born in Buxy, in the Saône-et-Loire department.
Trained at the École des Beaux-Arts in Paris, he soon turned his attention to geometric abstraction and the MADI movement.
From the 1950s onwards, he developed a body of work combining painting, reliefs and metal sculptures, playing with space and light.
Renowned for his modern and experimental approach, he took part in numerous exhibitions of abstract art in France and internationally.
