Gordon Hopkins, born in 1965 in Boston (USA), is a contemporary painter steeped in his family’s artistic heritage.
His parents, Edward Hopkins and Julie Hopkins, both visual artists, cultivated his passion for art from a young age. After studying Art and Art History at Principia College (Illinois, USA), Gordon specialized for 15 years as a landscape architect alongside Shep Butler. His passion for painting soon caught up with him, expressing itself as a vital need.
His transition to painting was natural; influenced by his previous expertise, he paints his canvases in the same way he would landscape a garden. Today, he is recognized as a distinguished landscape painter, endowed with a unique technique consisting of layering dry oil paint in sticks.
