Olivier Duhamel, an internationally renowned French figurative sculptor, masters the human form to perfection. His sculptures in bronze, wood and acrylic are prized by private and public collections. Based in New Zealand since 1987, he transmits his knowledge by teaching bronze casting and publishes artistic manuals.
Its innovative approach combines rigid materials and natural movements to capture the vitality of the body. Each layer of its sculpted pieces is laser cut then glued and doweled by hand by the artist (no 3D printing). Olivier Duhamel’s sculptures, imbued with details and expressions, celebrate the beauty and personality of the models presented in dynamic poses, often linked to the practice of yoga.
His works are permanently presented in galleries in New Zealand, Australia, Asia (Singapore, Hong Kong), the USA and Europe.
