Guénaëlle de Carbonnières (1986, Paris) works between Mâcon and Lyon. Her work is represented by Galerie Binome in Paris and Galerie Françoise Besson in Lyon. She is a permanent resident artist at CAP . Center d’art de Saint-Fons.
Initially trained in philosophy, she holds an agrégation in Plastic Arts, a diploma in Arts and Digital Media from Paris 1 and recently obtained a DNSEP from ENSBA in Lyon. Her work has been shown at Unseen (Amsterdam), Paris Photo, Art Paris, Galerie Michèle Chomette (Paris), MAPRAA, L’Attrape-Couleurs and Fondation Renaud (Lyon) and La Résidence (Dompierre-sur-Besbre), in conjunction with the Lyon Biennial. In 2022, her first solo show at Galerie Françoise Besson was supported by the CNAP.
She recently completed four creative residencies: at the Fondation Renaud; at the Maison du Grand Site, in conjunction with the Musée de la Préhistoire de Solutré; at L’Attrape-Couleurs; and at GRRRANIT, Scène Nationale de Belfort, in partnership with the Espace Multimédia Gantner and with the support of the DRAC Bourgogne-Franche-Comté. In 2023, she presented her first solo show at Galerie Binome. The year 2024 saw a residency at Centre d’art de Vénissieux, a trio show at espace Totem (Amiens), a duo show at galerie Françoise Besson and a group show at CAP. Center d’art de Saint-Fons.
