After earning a degree in painting from Azad University in Tehran, she went on to obtain two master\u2019s degrees in fine arts, from Tarbiat Modares University in Tehran and the University of Strasbourg. Her international journey informs a body of work exploring migration, memory, and identity. Blending her Iranian cultural roots with Western modernity, her paintings feature a cinematic visual language, with layered scenes that invite introspective readings. Working primarily with oil and acrylic, Afraz has exhibited across Europe and Asia since 2005.
