Claudia Masciave is a visual artist, visual poet, photographer, and filmmaker. An Indigenous descendant living in the French Alps, she is deeply rooted in her Franco-Amazonian heritage.

\nRaised away from her parents in the Amazon rainforest until the age of fifteen, she moved to Manaus to continue her education. During her final year of a Bachelor’s degree in Social Work, she put her studies on hold to set off on an open-ended journey in search of her true identity. After several years of wandering, she eventually found her place in France.
\nThe challenges of integrating into a new country allowed her to gain perspective on her own story and to envision new possibilities for her future.
