In the misty night, Parvati glues bird-headed figures to city walls.<\/p>\n

On a human scale, these dreamlike beings roam the urban space, sitting on benches or leaning against lampposts. Branches, leaves and flowers emerge from their flesh and feathers in the light of day. As if sap were flowing through their veins. Although singularly poetic, these hybrid passers-by are somewhat disturbing. Parvati has always been fascinated by the relationship between the beautiful – in the philosophical sense – and the strange.<\/p>\n

Pre-painted in the studio with Indian ink and casein, then meticulously cut out, these urban collages become an interlude in the daily lives of city dwellers, an invitation to dream.<\/p>\n

Originally a parallel between migrants and migratory birds, Parvati’s anthropomorphic birds have become her people. <\/p>\n
